Shun liked Tommy. This was something the pink themed boy had figured out not too long ago. First off, he wasn’t very experienced with these things. As much as he liked to show off, he had never been in a relationship before. He hadn’t even kissed anyone before. Second, it’s not like they were allowed to be in relationships, so it was kind of pointless anyway.

But he couldn’t help it. The cute boy with his bubbly personality and head stuck in the past was hard not to like. He had never considered liking a boy before, but before he knew it he was in love.

And then came the trip to Hawaii, and Tommy telling Shun to sleep with him in the same bed since there were only two. And there was no way Kira was letting anyone share his space. He thought he would be okay. There was nothing strange with a couple of sort-of-but-not-really friends sharing a bed. Nothing to be embarrassed about. But when he had to get into bed with Tommy he couldn’t help but worry about it. Tommy was used to it, the younger kids at the orphanage sneaking into his bed all the time, but Shun was an only child who only lived with his mother.

He could feel Tommy snoozing beside him, relaxed and on his back, but Shun was tense, eyes wandering between the ceiling and the boy beside him. And then Tommy’s eyes opened, slowly blinking the sleep out of them before turning his head to the side, looking Shun right in the eye.

Before Shun could react, the other teen turned fully against him with a sleepy smile. “Can’t sleep?” His voice was nothing more than a whisper, making sure that they wouldn’t wake the youngest member up. The redhead’s cheeks burned, and he shook his head. No. Or, yes? Either way, Tommy was right.

Tommy smiled, and wrapped an arm around Shun the way he would when one of the other kids couldn’t sleep and cuddled up in his bed. Shun’s face went red when Tommy snuggled him closer, the redhead’s face almost buried in Tommy’s chest. Quietly, the blond hummed a tune into his ear, and Shun relaxed. He leaned his cheek against Tommy’s chest, confused and embarrassed, but admitting to himself that it was comfortable to lie like this.

His body was completely relaxed, and he was almost asleep when he felt Tommy’s head move, and a light kiss was pressed to his hair. Tommy’s words were barely louder than a breath, but Shun caught it. “I like you, Shun. I’ll tell you that when you’re awake some time, wait for me.”

He tried to pretend he didn’t hear anything, he really did. But Tommy still noticed the hitch in his breath and how his body grew a little tense, and withdrew his arms, embarrassed. “Y-you’re awake?”

Shun lifted himself up on his elbows, face crimson. “Y-yeah.”

“It w- it was a joke, promise, I-”

“I like you too.”

There was a long silence as they stared at each other, both boy’s faces bright red. And then Tommy started giggling, and leaned in to give Shun a sweet kiss on the cheek. Shun was brought close to it as well, his face splitting into a smile.

They were interrupted by an angry voice from the other bed. “Shut up, idiots.”

They struggled to keep quiet, and Tommy pulled Shun close again. He nuzzled his nose into Shun’s hair, and Shun hugged Tommy right back. It was like a weight had been lifted off both of their shoulders.
